هميشه به نوعى دوست داشتم همه عزيزام و خوشحال كنم ، به هر دليلى كوچيك و بزرگ ، هر جشنى ، هر عيدى !! اره از زمانى كه يادمه همه عيدها رو جشن ميگرفتم ؛ عيدهاى سنتى ايرانى أعم از نوروز و چهارشنبه سورى و يلدا و ….. به كنار ، بقيه عيدهاى اديان ديگر و هم جشن ميگرفتم، نه كه فكر كنين جشن به معناى جشنهاى حالا كه همه چى توشه غير از دلخوشى!!!! چشم وهمچشمى، لباسهاى انچنانى، ارايشها كه نگو ، هزار جور غذاى رنگارنگ … ولى هر كى ديرتر بياد با كلاستره?فقط ميان كه از مقدار املاك و داراييهاى هم اطلاع كسب كنن ، يعنى يكى ميگه ماشين چند تا خريده، اون يكى از تعداد مسافرتهاش ميگه ، يكى ديگه پز اموال و إرث پدرى رو ميده و خلاصه اخرش ميبينى يه مشت حرف اراجيف شنيدى كه نه چيزى ياد گرفتى ، نه بدرد زندگيت خورده و نه مغزت !!!! تازه شايد آنقدر فشار عصبى از تحمل اين أفراد تو همون چند لحظه بهت اومده باشه كه اصلا در كل پشيمون بشى چرا اومدى !!!! نه من از اين مهمونيها نميگم ؛؛؛؛ من جشن دل ميگيرم همه چى ساده با ادمهاى ساده ، اونهايى كه براى مبلها و ميزو صندلى و تعداد خوراكهاى روى ميز خونه كسى نميان ، به متراژ خونه اش كار ندارن به خنده روى لبش نگاه ميكنن به شاديش از ديدن اونها ،،،، كادو كه ميدن و ميگيرن به قيمتش كارى ندارن به مقدار عشق و توجهى كه براش خرج شده اهميت ميدن ،،، اره با قلبتون جشن بگيرين نه با پول توى جيبتون❤ . . ‏#irankhanoom ‏Photography @wuyang0411

Like so many things in life, going gray is a personal journey. My way was to ditch the dye, hot rollers, and even the blow dryer in one fell swoop. It was almost as freeing as leaving a bad relationship behind. Masks are in season!!! My beautiful friend @jeanaturner has shared on her story today a new face mask which she has tried. Her “gallantry” has given me just the push I needed to share the one which I am finding to be quite beneficial. I have been using this process since September and don’t believe that I have ever been asked as frequently as I have been of late…. “Would you share your skincare regimen?”. I begin each morning with a @cetaphilus “gentle” skin cleanser and baking soda scrub. I leave it on until it dries, gently rinse and apply a thick layer of @fage plain yoghurt. This, too, I leave on until it thoroughly dries (can take as long as 20-30 mins), removing then with cool/warm water. This process brings a light pink tone to the surface of my skin (albeit temporary) but a bit of color to one’s face at this stage in life is a lovely gift!!! I then proceed with a light moisturizer and do not, personally, use foundation… only a bit of blush. #maskmonday #skincareroutine #noadvertisinghere

Thank you for all the love, messages, gifts, flowers, cards and treats. Having my 90th birthday has been quite an occasion and wonderful fun. I can’t say that it has been one special day as it has stretched over many and I have been partied, entertained and spoiled. – – I do think it is important to celebrate big milestones and events in life. It’s good to pause the normal routine and take the time to celebrate life events. As you know I don’t do retiring and I enjoy my modelling work but much of daily life consists of many routines – exercising, cooking, shopping, cleaning, changing beds, gardening, emails and admin. I still do all of these things as I always have (although I don’t drive anymore and have help with heavier shopping items and big gardening work). I’m lucky that I’m able and can continue – if one can do these things I do think it helps keep you active and fit. Now none of these essential and important chores are exciting – now for exciting! My fabulous big 90th party was special. I know I shared a few photos with you in my last Daphne News https://www.daphneselfe.com/90-years-young/ but I wanted to share more photos with you. – – On the stunning roof terrace at The Century Club in London’s Piccadilly, arranged by my close friend, photographer & model Alistair Guy on a scorching hot day. Organised and hosted by my children and grandchildren.
